Anti-Bullying Ambassadors

11th Sep 2018

St. Clare’s Abbey Primary School enrolled in the Anti-Bullying Ambassadors’ Programme at the end of the last academic year. This new project which will roll out this year trained children to become Anti-Bullying Ambassadors. We were lucky to secure training for 14 pupils and each received a full day’s training, equipping them with skills, information and reasons as to why and how they can help all of the children in our school.

As a school we expect our children to follow our ethos of being kind, considerate and respectful to one another and our children to demonstrate a range of caring values. However, we recognize that sometimes children can be unkind to each other and in some rare cases this can lead to bullying. The Anti-Bullying Ambassadors’ Programme provides our children with the opportunity to work together to raise awareness and offer support to combat bullying.

Anti-Bullying Ambassadors help educate their peers on bullying, lead on anti-bullying campaigns, promote a culture which celebrates and tolerates difference and help keep their peers safe both online and offline.

Our Anti- Bullying Ambassadors will meet regularly to discuss ways in which to promote the programme and share ideas about how to offer support to the children who may require it.
