E-Safety Parent and Community Evening

8th May 2017

We are extremely lucky to be able to hold an evening on E-Safety to be presented by the inspirational Wayne Denner – ‘Digital Ninja’.  Wayne’s enthusiasm works well with children and adults alike.  We would like to invite you to this special evening which will be held on Thursday 18th May at 7:00pm in St Clare’s Abbey Primary School.

This event is open to parents of all children

and children from Primary 5 – Primary 7 (accompanied by an adult).

The cost for attending will be £1. Please.

Our Digital Leaders will give a short presentation on Techno’s message (our school ESafety mascot).

Following this Wayne will make an Online Safety presentation directly to the children who will then take part in an ICT workshop using iPads.  He will then present powerful E-Safety messages and tips for parents and professionals working with children.  His presentations have proved to be captivating and informative.

In this age of increasing technology, we believe that Wayne will deliver invaluable messages for parents of all children, will highlight the importance of children safety to the pupils themselves and offer tips and advice to everyone wishing to use today’s technology safely.

Wayne inspires and motivates young people and adults to protect their well-being online, take control and maximise their individual talent in today's digital world. He tells his story and provides sound advice on protecting personal, professional and organisational reputation online and using social networks, the internet and smartphones to your advantage.

Yours in partnership,

Miss Rocks and Mrs McParland (ICT Coordinators).
