An exciting find in St Francis’ Garden
17th Oct 2024
Today while playing in the forest the children we delighted to get to see a frog that is getting ready to hibernate for the Winter. This frog is 3 years old and it lives in the pond in St Francis’ Garden. We were amazed at how far this frog can jump with its short legs - it is “like a spring”. We also saw some water snails that help to keep the pond water clean. One of the large logs in the garden is also beginning to sprout an oak tree. We think a squirrel must have buried an acorn here last Autumn and then forgotten to eat it during the winter.
