April in Miss Mallon's class

April was another busy month and the children definitely embraced learning about the Easter Story. The Grow in Love RE programme brought the story of Christ’s passion to a really understandable level for the children. They revised all other bible stories they had learned about Jesus. The children also learned about Maya, Maria and Patricia the children on our trocaire box. 

In Numeracy the children have been developing skills of problem solving using their addition/ data handling skills. In literacy there has been great progress made in reading and writing, with the children using lots of strategies to read unfamiliar words and read with much more fluency.
