Asthma Awareness
Two of our senior pupils spoke to the children at assembly about their experience of living with asthma. They did a tremendous job, preparing and delivering their presentation. They will be great additions to the workforce in future years!!!! This was part of the work we do to educate our children to the reality that we are all unique and many of us are dealing with little challenges that can make life a bit tricky at times.
We do this for two reasons:
1) because we want to develop understanding and kindness among all of our children and
2) because we want to acknowledge how well individual pupils manage their challenges and celebrate the strength that they exhibit in not allowing these to hamper them.
This is a programme that P7 pupils lead each year once they have developed sufficient maturity and self confidence. We look forward to hearing from more of our P7 pupils this school year.
