Closing Celebration of the Jubilee Year of Mercy

Pope Francis decreed that the Holy Year of Mercy would conclude on 20th November 2016, the Feast of Christ the King, when he will close the Holy Door in St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican.

On the preceding Sunday, 13th November, the Jubilee will be brought to a close in all local cathedrals and churches throughout the world. Bishop Mc Areavey will close the Holy Door in the Cathedral at the 10.00am Mass on Sunday 13th November.
