December in Miss Savage’s Class
During the first week in December we decorated our class Christmas tree, wrote letters to Santa and started our Christmas art.
Our Grow In Love learning focused on the Angel Gabriel. We watched a movie about the Nativity and looked at the Advent Wreath. We visited the Nativity scene in the school foyer and said a prayer that children all over the World would be happy and safe this Christmas.
On Wednesday 4th we enjoyed Christmas Dinner in the dining hall and on Friday 6th we completed the Daily Mile Santa Fun Run. We really enjoyed watching the P7 Christmas play and sat like ‘little angels’.
Our new sounds in December were m, o, c & f.
In numeracy we have completed lots of practical work on number and length. We focused on the mathematical terms, longer and shorter, taller and smaller.
On Thursday 19th December we wore our Christmas jumpers/clothes to school, went to the pantomime, enjoyed playtime and our snack. We also had a visit from Santa accompanied by a The Grinch. Later we exchanged our Chris Cringle cards. After a very busy day adults and children went home very happy 😊
Thank you girls and boys, you have worked very hard during Term one. 👏🏻
Miss Savage and her team are very proud of you all. ⭐️
Happy Christmas to our children and their families. We hope you all experiences hope, peace, love and joy over the Christmas period. 🙏🏻
