December in Mrs Mc Parland’s Clas
On 1st December we came to school to find an Elf on our classroom display line. There was great excitement when the lights on our classroom Christmas tree were turned on and again when the children took their turn to decorate the tree.
On Wednesday 6th December we went to school Christmas dinner. It was yummy.
We learnt about the number “9” and the sounds, “c” and “f”.
We revised all our numbers and letters and continue to use ICT to consolidate learning. We have grown in confidence while reading high frequency words and are engrossed when playing pass the parcel.
Adults and children have enjoyed watching the squirrel who comes into the infant yard after break time most days. It is very cute and sits on the bench or table. It can jump from the table straight into the bin. We all have taken a little timeout to admire the squirrel in silence. We look at its tail and watch it go under the fence and run fast up the tree.
The children worked very hard at making clay decorations for their families and produced beautiful Christmas art work.
On Wednesday 20th December we had a visit from Santa accompanied by an Elf and enjoyed our class Christmas party. The same day we had a BIG SURPRISE, after break there were TWO SQUIRRELS looking for food outside our classroom.
The class recorded a Christmas message for their friend who is in Australia for Christmas.
Thank you girls and boys, you have worked very hard during Term one. 👏🏻
Mrs Mc Parland and her team are very proud of you all. ⭐️
Happy Christmas to our children and their families. We hope you all experiences hope, peace, love and joy over the Christmas period. 🙏🏻
