December has been a very busy month in P1. At the start of December we decorated our Christmas tree and made lots of beautiful decorations which made our classroom look so jolly.
We learned how to weave using bright metallic fabric and card. We explored colour by using fluorescent paints and pens. We also made Christmas cards to give to our families.
We really enjoyed our Christmas dinner, singing Christmas songs, watching the P3 nativity play and wearing our Christmas jumpers. We especially loved getting to see Santa and his elf in school.
We have continued to work hard in literacy and numeracy too. We have worked on ‘c’ and ‘f’ and have developed our reading and high frequency word work. In numeracy we worked on number 9 and on partitioning within 5.
