Our latest campaign aims to encourage children to taste and eat more vegetables as part of a Healthy Lifestyle. In order to do this within school, the Eco-council worked with the school kitchen to see the re-introduction of the salad bar as part of school dinners. The Eco-council helped serve the vegetables from the salad bar and rewarded children who ate (or tried!) some vegetables with stickers. The Eco-council were very impressed with the number of children who ate vegetables as part of their dinner, or who brought some in as part of their lunch. The salad bar was so successful that it will be open several days a week after Easter.
