ECO Council Promote Their Work

28th Feb 2017

We the ECO Council met with Mr Keenan from our schools' Board of Governors to explain the projects we are working on at the moment. Mr Sweeney and Mr Byrne also attended. We gave Mr Keenan a cup of Fairtrade tea. Mr Keenan told us the board of governors help make decisions about what goes on in school and that it was important for the governors to understand what the ECO council do and what we would like to do in the future to help St Clare's Abbey remain an ECO school.

We also talked about the work we have done so far in this 2016-2017 school year and explained that yesterday was the start of Fairtrade Fortnight. Mr Keenan and Mr Sweeney were delighted to know that Cadbury's have Fairtrade chocolate. We also told Mr Keenan that we would tell or parents about Fairtrade products and he said he would tell the board of governors about our ECO work.

Mr Keenan was very interested in Fairtrade products and said he would love to come to our Fairtrade hot chocolate and cookie morning. We told Mr Keenan that he could come if he was free.
