Welcome
“Children who don't connect with nature before the age of 12 are less likely as adults to connect with nature. They therefore lose out on the resilience nature provides when you are really stressed."
Dr William Bird (Outdoor Nation Interview, National Trust)
Meet the ECO Council 23-24
We have recently appointed our new Eco-council in school. Children from P4 – P7 nominated themselves and were elected within their classes.
Our aims for this year are to maintain our 'Green Flag' status by encouraging our school community to look after our local and global environment and to make greener choices in our daily lives.
We will meet regularly to discuss our action plan, develop St. Francis’ Garden (our school biodiversity project) and plan a range of other campaigns throughout the year. We will keep the school community informed of our plans during assembly and by updating the school website.
