Today, our eco-council visited Rockfield Care Home to plant seeds with the residents and connect with other generations in our community. The children were partnered with a resident and they will continue to work together for the rest of the school year during our monthly visits. The children helped their partners put on their gloves and get ready for their activities. They then designed their pots with wool and glue. After they then filled their pots with compost and planted their sunflower seeds followed by adding a little water to the pot.
The children thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon as did the residents and we are all looking forward to April’s visit already.
