Today our eco-council visited Rockfield Care Home to make bird feeders with the residents and connect with other generations in our community. Firstly, the children and their partners added the string to their cardboard cylinder and then spread the butter all over the cylinder. Next, the children covered their cylinder in honey so that the bird feed would stick. Finally, they added the bird feed.
After all of their work they finished the day with juice and a biscuit.
The children and the residents really enjoyed themselves this afternoon and we are so looking forward to May’s visit.
