Green Day Mrs McParland’s Class
Adults and children had a beautiful day in school supporting Green Day to help St Clare’s Abbey school council raise funds for charity.
Our class enjoyed a little playtime treat with Dinosaurs and My Little Ponies before taking part in the Primary one Céilí. Mrs Noonan taught us how to ‘point our toe’ and demonstrated how to take a bow after we finished dancing.
It was wonderful to see every child in our class participating in the Céilí with enthusiasm and happiness.
We returned to the classroom for green snack treats and after some fresh air in the yard we went to assembly. Mrs Cribbin presented a short video about the life of St Patrick and then the musical celebrations began. Our Irish dancers showcased their talent, Mrs Noonan’s choir sang and students from St Colman’s College provided traditional Irish Music.
(Please watch the videos below and talk to your child about ‘Green Day’.)
Thank you to our wonderful parents and carers for dressing the children this morning. Everywhere we looked in the assembly hall we could see, ‘Forty shades of green’.
HAPPY SAINT PATRICK’S DAY from everyone in Mrs Mc Parland’s class.
Enjoy the long weekend. ☘️
