We celebrated the special day of one of our patron saints today. We spoke at length about the wonderful work St Francis undertook in caring for the poor and for nature.
We also unveiled a beautiful new sign in our wildlife garden, entitled ‘St Francis’ Garden’.
The work that we do in this garden is a special part of the St Clare’s Abbey experience as we promote biodiversity within our city centre site and encourage our pupils to look around them and appreciate the part that nature plays in our lives. We teach them about the role that we have to undertake if we are to be caretakers of our world, just as St Francis taught.
