After reading the storybook ‘The Dot’ in class. The children in Primary 4 have been enjoying and appreciating the work of Wassily Khandinsky, we explored some of his paintings and used the painting, ‘Squares with Concentric circles’as a starting point for our own work. The children were able to paint using primary colours, and experiment with colour mixing to create secondary colours and explore visual elements of colour.
The children were able to talk about their work, giving personal responses and offering individual responses to others, saying what they like about their paintings.
