Declan Carville, our famous author from Belfast came to visit our school!
He spoke with our P3 classes about all his books, with a particular focus on ‘The Magic Harp’ and ‘The Fairy Glen’.
He talked to the children about how authors and illustrators work together to make a book.
He showed the P3s original artwork from his books and explained the process of how a story is written.
Through pictures and stories he explained how he found fairies in Fairy Glen and the best time of day to find them!
The children were enthralled and went to our own forest area to look for our own school fairies!
