Maths week in Primary 1 Mrs McGoldrick/Mrs Davey’s class

It was Maths week this week and we were afforded so many opportunities to 'showcase' maths and Numeracy during our play based learning. In the mud kitchen we used our mathematical language such as 'full', 'fullest', 'empty' etc., when measuring.
When making our porridge we counted how many spoons of porridge we were adding to the bowl.
During our PE we were able to count the cones and the jumps that we did. We also used our spatial language, such as 'forwards, backwards' etc. We were able to realise that Maths really does play such a big part in our day at school. Well done Primary 1!
