May the Month of Mary

This month we honour Mary because God chose her to be the mother of Jesus. Mary cared for Jesus when he was a baby and as he grew from childhood to adulthood. We have been emphasising to the children this month the fact that Mary, the mother of Jesus, is our mother too, and we have been encouraging them to talk to Mary as a mother through prayer.

The children in Primary 2 have been given many opportunities to be involved in making a May altar, pray and sing to Mary.
