Miss Mackin's April News
This month in Numeracy, the children have been learning about directions. They were following each other’s directions and directing Beebot around the classroom!
During play, the children have been using lots of creative and thinking skills! There was lots of work happening in the block area with children constructing stable two storey buildings!
We have been focusing on preparing for Holy Week and Easter. The children have been learning about Trocaire and the importance of helping other children in the world who are less fortunate than we are.
We have been listening and learning about the stories of Jesus and the real meaning of Easter. Sister Rosemary visited the children and led them through the Stations of the Cross.
The class were also getting very creative making lots of Easter crafts and we had lots of fun searching for eggs that the Easter bunny left when he hopped past our school!
I have really enjoyed teaching and getting to know your children this term! I look forward to watching them progress even further in Term 3! Wishing you all a happy and safe Easter!
