During the month of February we have writing non-chronological reports about dinosaurs. We were gathering information using different sources- website, non-fiction books and educational videos. We worked in groups to brainstorm the most interesting facts and then we worked individually to write our own non-chronological report.
It was also E-safety week at St Clare's Abbey and we learned all about Techno our E-Safety mascot. The Primary 2 boys and girls are really good at staying safe online.
Another exciting day was "World Thinking Day" on 22nd February. A girl in our class told us all about it and the Girl Guides/Scouts.
We have been learning how some sounds can be represented in different ways, and have been sorted words that have the "ow" sound. We have also been learning some consonant blends such as sl and sp.
We took part in the sponsored walk for Action MS in Kilbroney. We really enjoyed this walk and we raised lots of money for the wonderful cause.
February has been a very busy month indeed!
