The children had a wonderful Christmas break and have settled in well to school life again. We have talked a lot about the change in the weather as there have been lots of cold and dark mornings with Jack Frost about. Outside the children have enjoyed a range of experiences in the quarry, forest, mud lab, outdoor sand and water and outdoor construction areas. They have explored lots of different ways of creating bridges and making stable structures. Lots of creative thinking and collaboration has been seen as the children worked to make their bridges steady.
In class we have been reading and writing about dinosaurs and exploring some traditional tales. In Numeracy the children have been working hard on their skills of addition and subtraction and enjoyed learning about o’clock times.
