This half term has been a busy one for Primary 2. We have been completing lots of work on ‘Our Locality’ and enjoyed a visit to Hill Street in Newry, visiting lots of the shops on our way to the Cathedral. The children investigated making these buildings in the construction areas in school and making observational drawings from their photos.
In the forest we explored how the surroundings were changing now that it is autumn and almost winter. The children investigated items from the forest floor and observed how the colours were changing.
In class we have been writing instructions and stories and in Numeracy we have been looking at numbers to 20 and investigating number bonds. We also had lots of fun preparing for Christmas.
