We have had lots of fun learning about weather in World Around Us and have completed lots of different activities to find out about weather. We investigated sounds that different types of weather make using body percussion and percussion instruments. Then we created a weather sound story about a sunny day with a storm in the middle and used different instruments to represent the weather sounds. We worked in groups to write weather sound and shape poems thinking about the sounds that different types of weather make. We are also investigating rainfall. In our forest area we looked for places that we thought would get a lot of rain and places that would get a little bit of rain. We put rain gauges out to collect rain and are excited to find out how much rain they caught whenever we measure.
