Miss Savage’s Class Visit The Book Fair
Adults and children enjoyed a relaxed visit to the Travelling Book Fair which was set up in our school foyer.
It was wonderful to see many of the children sit down and go through a book with interest and gentle hands.
The books looked so beautiful, it was very difficult for many of us to choose a favourite book.
Miss Savage’s read the book ‘There’s No Such Thing As Elves’. Everyone discussed the front cover, the title, the author and the illustrator.
The story had a happy ending and that made us all feel happy as we LOVE Elves.
“There is no such thing as a child who hates to read;
there are only children
who have not found the right book.”
– Frank Serafini
“I have a passion for teaching kids to become readers,
to become comfortable with a book, not daunted.
Books shouldn’t be daunting,
they should be funny, exciting and wonderful;
and learning to be a reader gives a terrific advantage.”
