September in Mr Hillen's Class

This month the children have settled fantastically well back in to school life. In Numeracy, they have worked extremely hard on different methods to complete subtraction, such as Empty Number Line and Vertical Subtraction. We have also looked at 2D shapes and their properties, before using straws and lolly sticks to problem solve.

In Literacy, the children enjoyed learning about Michael Morpurgo, paying particular attention to his style of writing.
