Our class visited Bagenal’s Castle to take part in a very lively and interactive Christmas workshop. The children found out lots of information from Declan at the Museum about how Christmas was celebrated in the past, including the Victorian period, and discovered more about where in the world our Christmas traditions have come from. The children also visited the Christmas Toy Room where they had the opportunity to play with toys from the past, present and from around the world and see artefacts from the Museum’s Collection. The session finished with some Christmas crafting where the children made a Christmas decoration to take home. The children thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. We are so lucky to have this wonderful Museum so close by to our school. The children were wonderful ambassadors for our school asking and answering questions and having excellent behaviour throughout. 🌟👏🏻
