On Thursday 25th of April 2024 our school choir took part in Newry Feis. After last year's success we were hopeful of the same this year and they did not disappoint!
Our choir sang in two competitions; Hymn Singing and Primary School Choir 'Own Choice'. We performed two pieces in the Hymn Singing competition; Mother Mary, Pray for Us and Sing Jubilate Deo! and two pieces in the Own Choice competition; When I Grow Up and September.
The adjudicator was very impressed with all the choirs who performed on the day and gave special mention to our choir for their secure harmony, good dynamics and balance of voices. The choir got on extremely well and came second in both competitions!
We are so proud of their efforts. I would like to thank the children for all their hard work this year and their fantastic contribution to music in our school.
