November in Miss Friel's Class!
What a busy month November has been!
The children have been working increadibly hard during this time and have made so much progress in their learning!
In Literacy, the children have been beginning to tackle CCVCC words in their Monday phonics lesson. The children have enjoyed using magnetic letters to create words and beginning to use these new words in their sentences.
In Numeracy, the children have been working on addition and subtraction. The practical nature of our lessons has really given the children ‘hands on’ experience in adding items on or taking them away. This meant that the children have gained a better understanding of these mathematical concepts.
In learning through play, we have been focusing on our new topic, which includes a focus on stability, forces and problem solving. We have been building and drawing bridges and exploring clay.
In Roots of Empathy, we have completed our second theme with Mrs Murphy, all about cry and Baby Jacks emotions.
With Christmas just around their corner, it will time to start our Christmas play rehearsals! How exciting!!
