November in Mrs Kearney’s Class
As we enter the festive period in school we look back on a very busy November in Primary 1/2.
We have continued to work very hard in all areas of the Curriculum. We are learning more sounds and numbers in
Literacy and Numeracy. This month we began our segmenting and blending journey. This has helped with our reading and writing. Our non-number work in Numeracy has included lots of work on Pattern and Shape.
Play Based Learning is always a favourite in Primary 1/2 and this month we had great fun exploring weaving, clay and fluorescent art in The Creative Classroom. We also had lots of opportunities to develop our gross motor skills in The Park, Forest and The Wheeled Vehicle Area.
In November we remembered our friends and family who have gone to Heaven. We made beautiful leaves to add to the Remembrance Tree which was displayed in our school foyer.
The Travelling Book Fair visited our school this month and we enjoyed listening to stories and browsing the wonderful selection of books on offer.
Please take some time to have a look at some photographs of all of the fun things we have been learning about this month.
