On Friday 1st June Miss Rocks' Primary 3 class welcomed local running legend Willie McCracken. In 2012 Willie was chosen to be an Olympic Torch Bearer in the run up to the London 2012 Olympics. Willie brought his Olympic Torch in to show us and talked about his special experience. We asked Willie questions about his running career, his favourite races and how to get better at our hobbies. Willie told us that to improve at anything we need to work hard and that if we are in a competition, race, game or match that it is always important to shake your opponents hand whether you win, lose or draw. We hope to follow Willie's advice in our school sport's day and in our hobbies outside school. Thank you Willie for visiting.
