Yesterday our class had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a Creative writing workshop with Declan Carville who is a children’s author from Warrenpoint.
Declan read a few of his own books to the children and discussed his job as an author and how he started out in his job.
Declan talked with the children about how he writes his stories and gave the children tips that they can use when writing stories in Primary 4 and at home.
I am looking forward to seeing how this wonderful session transfers into the story writing that the children will do in class this week. Encourage your child to talk about his/her favourite part of this visit at home.
Perhaps we have a budding author sitting in our midst. A wonderful and inspirational session for our class.
