P4 STEM Challenge

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) challenge in P4- the children enjoyed the opportunity to make a lollipop catapult in groups. Learning about energy, gravity and Newtons Law of Motion. The lollipop catapult demonstrates energy being converted from one type to another and transferred from one object to another (catapult arm to the ball). The children had the best fun along the way and were excited to see which groups catapult could launch a Pom Pom the furthest!
