P5/6 Lego Challenge

Before Christmas we had been working very hard on the Lego Challenge set by Lisa from Sentinus. 

The focus of our challenge was energy based and looking at ways in which we could be more eco friendly. In their groups, children had to complete a number of activities:

• Firstly, they had to build the town using the Lego and instructions provided. 
• When this was completed, they had to build their robot and arm accessory. 
• Then they started to look at an innovation project where they had to identify an energy problem before coming up with a solution. The children conducted great research and gathered some key statistics for their reports.
• Finally, the children had to program their robots to complete at least 2 missions on the mat, as can be seen from the videos posted below. 

The children had a wonderful time doing all of the above!
