P6 Cycling Proficiency
Recently some of our Primary 6 pupils completed their cycling proficiency test. As our school is working towards the bronze level Sustrans award this year, one of the officers from Sustrans came to train and assess the P6s on their cycling skills. During the training the pupils completed level one and level two.
On the first day pupils completed level one on the school grounds showing basic manoeuvring. On day two pupils were taken to a housing estate close by and completed a range of skills including starting off, slowing down, stopping and parking, turning right and left, overtaking parked cars, passing side roads and carrying out emergency stops safely. Everyone had great fun!
