P6 Visit Kilbroney Park & Cloughmore Centre

The Primary 6 children are exploring the topic of Trees in their World Around Us work. They have discussed the new site of St. Clare’s Abbey and the many trees which there will be around our new school. We also discussed the trees and weeds which had to be removed before building could commence.

Danielle Begley, Biodiversity officer, from the council gave the children fabulous information relating to trees in our local area. They learned how to recognise trees from their leaves and fruits and what animals need trees for survival.

We had a lovely day exploring the woodland and the Narnia Trail.
