We were so delighted to have Mr. Chris Cassidy, a representative from the charity NSPKU, meet us today so we could present him with a cheque for the NSPKU, a charity that supports people with PKU, one of our chosen charities this year.
“I have PKU [phenylketonuria] . It is a rare genetic condition that I manage every day. I delivered a presentation to raise awareness of PKU and explain what it is and how it affects my life at an assembly for P4 - P7 earlier this year. "Owning" my condition and talking about it openly has really increased my confidence and has helped me develop a passion to continue to raise awareness and fight for better treatments and possibly a cure for the PKU community”.
