Sad Farewell to three staff members 2021-2022

Christine Hanna RIP

Dear friends, it is with the deepest sorrow that we mourn the all too premature passing of our beautiful nursery assistant Mrs Hanna. We thank God for the gift of the time that we shared with her and for the joy, commitment and kindness that she brought to our precious children and her colleagues. 
We pray for her bereft family at this saddest of times.  May her gentle soul be at peace and may God strengthen her husband, sons and wider family in the painful days that lie ahead. 🙏🏻

Kathleen Gallagher RIP 

We bade farewell to our dear colleague, Kathleen in this academic year. For 20 plus years Kathleen was a member of our cleaning staff. Her lovely personality and sense of humour  cheered us all up on many occasions and she always had time for a chat as she undertook her duties. Kathleen’s humility was a shining example to us all. She was still working with us when she became ill and we are so sorry that she never had the chance to enjoy the retirement phase of her life. She was a kind and good woman and we miss her.
We pray for her daughters, grand children and wider family as they learn to live their lives without her.  May her beautiful soul rest in God's peace. 🙏🏻

Patricia Murtagh RIP 

Sadly, Patricia passed away this academic year. She was a member of our Kitchen staff and worked away in the background, quietly and unassumingly with her colleagues of many years. The shock felt by all at her sudden passing is nothing compared to the grief of her son Ian, daughter in law and little grand daughter. 

We pray for them that they will be strengthened in their loss and pray for the happy repose of Patricia's soul. St Clare, St Francis and Blessed Edmund Rice, pray for her. 🙏🏻

Bless those who mourn, eternal God, with the comfort of your love;

That they may face each new day with hope and certainty that nothing can destroy the good that has been given.

May their memories become joyful, their days enriched with friendship and their lives enriched by your love.
