FAST gives families "quality time" together.
FAST is a free programme for families and schools.
FAST helps improve children's reading, writing and maths.
FAST enhances parental skills, confidence and community links.
FAST helps parents support their children's learning at home.
The programme will run for 8 weeks on the Abbey Site from 2pm to 4.30pm EVERY TUESDAY, starting 20th October 2015. The final session (week 8) will be on Wednesday 9th December as pupils will have no school on the Tuesday 8th.
Children will be released from class to attend the programme. The date of each session is listed in the calendar below.
Parents may bring all their children BUT one child must be within the age range of 3 - 8 years old.
NOTE: If you are a working parent and cannot attend another adult can take your place. (grand-parent, aunt, uncle or childminder)
This programme is NOT RUN BY TEACHERS.
It is about, Parents, Community Members and School Staff enjoying 2.5 hours of activities that will help children improve their social, emotional and intellectual skills, while giving families time to laugh and play together.
There will be time for parents to have a cup of tea and a chat at each session and a meal (finger food) will also be provided at each session for everyone.
There will be a graduation ceremony on week eight.
Every member of the FAST Team (pictured below) believes that the families who take part in this programme will leave with fond memories that will never be forgotten!!
Thank you to everyone who attended the coffee morning. We will see you on Tuesday 20th @ 2pm on the Abbey Site. If you have any questions Please speak to Miss O'Shea or Miss Mc Shane or contact us by email.
