We are settling very well into the routines of Primary 2 and our school year has gotten off to a busy and productive start.
In Literacy we have been exploring story writing, poetry and non fiction. We enjoyed writing poems about Autumn and using the technique of pointillism to create beautiful Autumn trees in Art.
In Numeracy we have been working hard to develop our number skills, focusing on recognising and writing numbers to 20, counting forwards and backwards and identifying missing numbers in a sequence.
Play Based Learning has provided us with many wonderful opportunities to express our creativity in the quarry, forest, sand, water, mud, construction and creative classroom. We have been able to develop our physical skills of clambering, running, jumping and fine motor control.
