September was an extremely busy and fun filled month. During our numeracy lessons we were learning how to count all the way up to 100, both forwards and backwards. We also looked at different methods of measurement including length and weight.
Throughout Literacy in September we wrote stories about teachers turning into different characters and also focused on poems. We closely looked at some features of a poem, including alliteration, rhyming words, adjectives and the author. We composed a number of poems about sounds and different kinds of footwear. We also had the opportunity to dramatize our poems in groups and performed these to the class. This was great fun!
Our topic this term is ‘Transport’. We began looking at the different methods of transport and designed our own boats from different materials and tested these to see if they would float. An extremely enjoyable lesson for all.
