Sport Is Important
Good luck to everyone taking part in the Healthy Kidz Big Workout Day.
As a former pupil (now in 2nd year in St Mary's High School), I was always very keen to participate in sporting activities in St Clare's Abbey and enjoyed every moment of not only keeping fit but also being part of a team.
As a result of taking part in these type of activities I have continued my sports and now play for Crossmaglen Rangers Gaelic football team both in the U14's and U16's.
I was also lucky to be selected to play for Armagh U12's. A very proud moment was when I was picked for the Lidl's Future Stars programme. I trained with the Senior Dublin Ladies team who won the Ladies All Ireland Final a few weeks ago.
I am in no doubt that the encouragement and support that I got from St Clare's Abbey has helped me over the past few years.
I would encourage the boys and girls to take full advantage of all opportunities to take part in sports and fitness.
I am very happy to share these photos with you all.
The first was taken just before I played my first match for Armagh under 12's.
The remainder of the pictures are from when I was training with the Dublin Senior Ladies GAA team in The GAA National Games Development Centre in Dublin after getting picked for the Lidl's Future Stars.
