STEM in P2. Materials in Autumn
During Term 1 the boys and girls in Primary 2 engaged in lots of STEM investigations and experiments through a project based on materials found in our natural environment in Autumn.
The skills of sorting, classifying were developed as the children carefully created criteria for organising the materials.
The children used scientific tools such as pestle&mortar to grind down the materials. They used magnifying glasses for close observation.
On one occasion in the forest, the children discovered a rotten apple. This provoked a lot of enquiry and the children investigated it a little further. Have a look at the video to see what went on!
