Teacher Professional Development
This week staff from Capita, Microsoft and the team of teachers involved in the Teacher Professional Development programme met at Microsoft Ireland Headquarters in Dublin.
The initiative forms part of the EdIS (Education Information Solutions) programme which aims to engage school leaders and teachers and maximises the use of the new Microsoft Surface Pro 7 Plus teacher devices recently rolled out to schools.
The professional learning group were presented with experiences from practitioners in the Republic of Ireland and experts in Microsoft’s Education team. The power of Minecraft in supporting STEM subjects was outlined and participants were introduced to Microsoft’s DreamSpace, the digital learning centre which will soon be fully operational at W5 in Belfast.
The programme was attended by Mrs Michelle Mc Parland.
