This week the Nursery children visited the school Poly-tunnel and helped our ECO council plant winter vegetables.
The ECO council have been planting onion and garlic bulbs and explained to the Nursery children how to plant these bulbs, about a hand length deep and about a hand length apart.
Our council displayed excellent communication skills and also explained to the Nursery class how to dig carefully, to make sure to plant the garlic and onions bulbs where no bulbs were already planted. We must remember that the roots point down and sit on the soil.
The ECO council were also hard at work planting bulbs in our out door planters so we will have amazing flowers in Spring
