Update on our Gardening Club

Dear Parents/Grandparents

Once again, we are asking for help to run our ‘St Clare’s Abbey Gardening Club’. We have been running from the beginning of the school year in September, but we are now coming into a very busy time of year. There is more help required in the coming months. It proved a great success in the past and we would love your help to continue this.
Over the past few years we have been able to develop our school grounds with a new polytunnel in our school garden and a new pond in our school woodland area.

The Gardening Club always allowed us to take full advantage of the wonderful outdoor resources we have on our school grounds and provided such a fantastic opportunity for children to learn in the outdoors as well as providing a great opportunity for parents/grandparents to spend time with their children/grandchildren.

The Gardening Club was such a great help in maintaining our school grounds as we have a vast green space and maintaining this was overwhelming for our staff.

The Gardening Club will run on a Friday afternoon at the school from 1pm to 2pm.
