May Service
On Thursday 26th May the children in St Clare's Abbey came together to honour Mary Our Mother through song and prayer. The P2 pupils led us joyfully and our P4 & P7 pupils looked wonderful in their sacramental outfits and showed great reverence throughout.
The hall was magnificent thanks to the generosity of the parents who donated endless amounts of flowers. Those parents and former members of staff in attendance were so pleased to see that the old traditions from both The Abbey and St Clare's were being recreated and continued in our new school. The only disappointment for us was that we were unable to have our May Procession up through the woodland area as it started to rain very heavily as we were about to set off. Our caretakers had spent the morning positioning flowers and statues of Our Lady along the path way and it would have been very special. However the Primary one pupils were very lucky as they had their own little procession the next day when the sky was blue again and so a new generation of memories begin!!!!
