Mrs Cribbin's Class Visit The Cathedral
On Wednesday 13th April the Primary 1 pupils went to visit Newry Cathedral.
In class the children are learning about ‘The Church’ as part of our Religious Education programme ‘Grow in love’.
This week we are talking about the church as a special and holy place where people can go to pray and talk to God.
On our visit to Newry Cathedral we were learning about the different objects in the church that help us to think about God and Jesus. The altar, the crucifix and stained glass windows.
We prayed to God to look after ourselves and our families.
We hope that the children may visit Newry Cathedral or other local churches again with parents and family to perhaps say a prayer or to have a look around.
