Mrs Davey's / Mrs Trotter's class December

In our numeracy work we have been adding and subtracting. We have used the numicon resources to help with adding and subtracting. We can use numicon on the interactive whiteboard or use the little pieces at our desks. Everyone in P2 thinks that it is a fun way to do numeracy. Numicon helps us to see how number stories are made and then we we able to record our sums on whiteboards. We have also used grids called arrays. We have placed coloured cubes into the arrays to help us see how number stories are made. In literacy we have been busy writing, reading and learning our words.

We used a fun app called puppet pal on the apple television. This allowed us to make our own movie about The Three Little Pigs. We had a story sac to help us to sequence the story. We all thought our movie was very successful.

We have a beautiful crib in our school and Advent wreath. We have been learning about the meaning of Christmas.
